I grew up in Park Slope and Red Hook, and now live in Park Slope. For me I've watched gentrification happen all around me, and was in a unique position to
understand it growing because my stepfather was in real estate and my father was in the restaurant business, which may seem unrelated, but opening up a
successful restaurant has a lot to do with understanding neighborhoods. Park Slope and Red Hook have both become gentrified in my lifetime.
Which points are you using in your paper? I'm flattered.
By the way, I know we both held back like crazy on the Hasidic Jews in that thread. I didn't mention how they don't pay taxes, and now they must have
their own DMV because I really can't see how else they get drivers licenses.
